SWITCH BACKING PLATES TO POLISH ANY AREA, LARGE OR SMALL: STREAMLINED INTEGRATION (SI)
Detailers can easily switch between 3 inch, 5 inch, and 6 inch backing plates for improved versatility. TORQ Tools applied a Streamlined Integration engineering approach to make the TORQX accept 3’’, 5’’, and 6’’ backing plates without extensive modifications, or voiding of warranties. Simply use the included TORQ wrench to remove and swap backing plates to handle any size job. Traditional dual action polishers require extensive modification and counterweight changes to change pad sizes without voiding the warranty. Different detailing jobs require different size buffing pads and backing plates. The TORQX comes equipped with a durable 5” backing plate for use with all 5.5 inch buffing and polishing pads. 5.5’’ pads strike the perfect balance to polish flat and curved panels with ease. Switch out to smaller 3’’ backing plates to run 3 or 4.5’’ buffing pads to restore headlights, polish door jambs, grilles, or louvers without affecting the surrounding areas. BALANCED ERGONOMIC DESIGN (BED): COMFORT DURING EXTENDED USE
TORQ engineers designed the TORQX to work with the user for enhanced comfort and superior polishing results. The extended comfort front handle grip, tailored body length, and 5’’ backing plate size maximize leverage and polishing efficiency, and minimize the pressing force needed to polish paint effectively. TORQ engineers also placed the speed control dial in the middle of the body of the TORQX: right above the user’s thumb during operation. Intuitive placement of speed controls keeps detailers focused on the job with adjustments easily made on the fly. Integrated cooling vents channel air through the handle to cool the motor, buffing head, and counterweight for extended polishing jobs and machine lifespan. The power switch is tucked away from the action at the back end of the machine, and is easily reached while still controlling the machine through shutdown with one hand. COMPACT AND VERSATILE DETAILING MACHINE
The TORQX Random Orbital Polisher is the perfect first machine for the weekend warrior enthusiast, and also makes a great addition to any professional’s detailing arsenal. The compact form factor of the TORQX makes it perfectly suited for polishing in tight areas on any vehicle. The TORQX uses standard 5/16’’ – 24 spindle thread backing plates; switch to 3’’ backing plates to polish small areas or 6’’backing plates for extra large panels. Remove swirls and scratches from door jambs, underneath side view mirrors, A-pillars, wheels, and other tight spots with the TORQX. Polish headlights or tail lights to remove oxidation, yellowing, and faded plastic with the TORQX and Hyper Flex wet sanding block system. PRECISION POWER P² – POWER FLEX TECHNOLOGY
